Project description A sense of Solidarity
Since 2007, the artists have worked on issues relating to the Swedish workers’ movement’s relationship to art and social-democratic cultural politics as part of a comprehensive project dating from 2007. They have particularly focused on the role that has been given to art and the artist. The project has many layers and follows different paths; it can almost be seen as an archive or knowledge bank from which to pick things. The material partly consists of existing documents and documentary interviews, partly of the artists’ commentary through compilations and individual works.
